In order to serve area buyers and their Realtors better, we have developed a grievance procedure as detailed below. If you are having difficulty or dont feel you are getting an adequate level of service, please see the steps below and your grievance request will processed within 2 business days.
1. Be sure you have completely read our online instructions regarding How to submit an offer.
Please understand that due to the high volume of foreclosed properties on the market our office receives dozens of offers each day. As such there is no way to give daily updates to eveyone who has submitted an offer. We are able to provide confirmation of receipt, however please wait at least 7 days before inquiring about a response to your offer.
Sellers typically respond within 3-5 business days. However sometimes it can take longer. This could be because the seller is overly busy, the seller is sick, the seller’s office is closed or because the seller has multiple offers on this property (which is confidential if applicable to your offer). Until we have received a response from the seller, you likely wont hear from our office unless you request a confirmation of receipt. Please remember we ask for up to 7 business days response time for this reason, and this is posted in several locations (MLS, website, VM greetings, etc).
2. Realtors, please explain to your buyers that until we receive a response from the seller, the only response we can give you is that we have confirmed the seller has received your offer. From this point it is up to the seller to respond to us. There is nothing we can do to force them to respond until they are ready. If you have not received a response within 7 business days (not including weekends), please let me know at that time and I will look into the status more deeply to see if there is a problem.
3. If you have followed the above guidelines and the procedures detailed in our How To Submit an Offer page and still wish to submit a complaint or grievance, please send your grievance IN WRITING via email or fax to both the Listing Agent and the Principal Broker Mark Davis (markd@indyreo.com).
We are not able to address grievances via telephone as a paper trail has proven to be the best way to be sure all concerns are handled, and that they are handled by the appropriate party. Please allow 2 business days response time to any grievance you have submitted.
